Saturday, June 13th - 730PM Belltime
The CZW Arena - 7 W. Ritner St. - South Philly

6/7 - CZWNews Update: A Tournament for the ages! CZW sets Delaware on Fire!

If you missed it... shame on you. A crowd of nearly 800 CZW fans packed Markland Acres in Townsend, Delaware to witness the most Ultraviolent, shocking, innovative and relentlessly brutal event the Combat Zone has ever produced, and they left with memories that will last a lifetime. Tournament of Death 8 provided a show that many are calling the best one yet, and quite possibly the most Ultraviolent event in wrestling history!

TOD 8 featured plenty of blood (buckets and buckets), fire (and the burns to prove it), lighttubes, saw blades, thumbtacks, glass, grandfather clocks, silverware, dildos (in DJ's mouth), cinderblocks and even syringes, and when the dust finally settled, one man was left holding the most prestigious trophy in Ultraviolence... and that man was THUMBTACK JACK! For those who missed the event, it will be available soon exclusively on Smart Mark Video DVD! (www.smartmarkvideo.com)

12. TOD Finals: Thumbtack Jack outlasts Nick Gage and eventually the entire locker room to be named sole survivor and Tournament of Death Champion!

- The Main Event was full of expected (and unexpected) chaos, including a severe injury to Nick Gage, the man who appeared to be unbeatable and on his way to his 2nd Tournament of Death Championship. However, Gage was derailed by several of the nearly 200 Lighttubes surrounding the ring during a nasty dive thru the ropes, leaving a major puncture wound down his side and rendering him unable to continue in the TOD finals. As a result, the locker room emptied and the match was ruled an Ultraviolent free-for-all. Eventually, the free-for-all turned into a savage group beating of DJ Hyde, and when it was all over, John Zandig himself declared Thumbtack Jack the Tournament of Death 8 Champion.

- As reported on CZWrestling.com, Nick Gage was airlifted from the scene in serious condition due to the injuries suffered in the finals. He was taken to a nearby hospital (against his will but at the demands of the CZW medical staff) where he was treated, and underwent a procedure to close up the wounds, and stop the bleeding. After a minor operation, doctors informed Gage and CZW Management that the "man" is expected to make a full recovery. Needless to say, CZW wishes to thank the fans, as well as the medical staff for their help, patience and cooperation in what was a very chaotic, and trying time. For what it's worth, CZW officials were on hand at the hospital to overhear Gage refer to one of the OR's male nurses as a "fucking pussy". In addition, Gage vows to be at June 13th's Best of the Best.
